this castle was incredible! we did the self guided tour and it took us about 3 1/2 hours. my parents went on the tour with a tour guide and it took them even longer. the crazy thing is that we only got to see a small portion of the castle during that time. the malbork castle is the largest castle in the world by surface area, and the largest brick building in Europe!

i can't believe i'll be meeting our little guy in 13 weeks! now that i'm in to the last trimester, things are getting REAL. especially since we're moving temporarily for the summer to st. louis, i'm looking for a doctor and figuring out which hospital i'll deliver in, etc, etc (!!!) i'm figuring out which baby things will stay at home and will be traveling with us. crazy stuff coming up which i'm excited/nervous about. oh, and we discovered the city library this week (i forget how awesome libraries are) so i've been reading several books and educating myself as much as possible about labor and everything pregnancy/post pregnancy. there's so much to learn and be prepared for.


How far along are you? 27 weeks + 2/3 of the way done!
Total weight gain: around 18 lbs now
Countdown? 13 WEEKS
Sleep: i try to get as much sleep as possible these days + the crazy dreams definitely come with it
Best moments: planning the future with kevin
Missing anything? being able to bend down easily to put on my shoes... simple things are starting to get harder these days 
Movement? YES!
Food Cravings: thin mints (i stalked the girl scout website to see where to buy them) :)
Symptoms: i think i pulled a groin muscle when we were speed walking from parking to get to the jazz game last night so... not a fun feeling 
Happy or Moody?  feeling pretty good these days. the other day i was feeling down just because i felt like there was nothing to do or no one to hang out with. so instead of pouting around, i decided to work on putting our office together. i built a square shelf out of the extra wood we have and stained it. i hung pictures on the wall - anyways, that cheered me up and i was productive! (let's just say, i was proud of myself) :)

before we moved down to utah, we made a list of new date ideas we could do while living here. we took turns coming up with different ones. one of the items on the list was to rent a puppy and have a picnic at the park! since the weather has been warming up here, we thought it would be a great friday afternoon date. we decided to rent little jerry! he was sooo cute and soft and fun to play with! i love puppies but kevin has never owned one, so renting a puppy was really fun especially since we're not looking to getting a puppy any time soon... but maybe in the future :)

How far along are you? 26 weeks + only 2 wks away from the third trimester!
Total weight gain: i think i'm up to 15lbs now? funny thing (kinda) is that i'm sure by the end of my pregnancy, kevin and i will weigh the same... HA!

one thing i reallyyyy miss eating while being pregnant is cookie dough (and basically any kind of baking batter). so i came across this recipe to make my own edible cookie dough and it helped satisfy my pregnancy craving! i love that this recipe is meant for one serving so you don't feel guilty overdoing it with the cookie dough. i added in mini chocolate chips and oatmeal, but you can add in whatever you want.

Happy or Moody? i was feeling really moody yesterday but i think it's because i was tired. other than that, i've been pretty happy. kevin keeps me happy :)
Looking Forward to: a weekend getaway to st. george and las vegas! we're taking full advantage of all this free time we have together before the summer starts.

i'm excited to share with you this recent design i did for the lovely Erika from Rouge & Whimsy! she wanted to create a simple space with neutral colors + pops of light aqua. i love what the final look came to be and it was fun getting to know a fellow seattle native! :) btw, erika makes the cutest bags and purses, so you definitely should check out her shop! she's traveling down to africa currently, (jealous!) so if you're interested in her travels there, then follow her blog for updates!

after visiting warsaw, we drove our rental car through the town Toruń on our way to northern poland. it rained on us while we were there, so we walked through the town and explored for a bit before getting back into the car. i didn't know this, but nicolaus copernicus was born in toruń! we stopped and took some pictures in front of the statue of him in the main square.

i loved making these simple (+ easy!) burp cloths for our baby. since i got my sewing machine for christmas, i've been trying it out with some simple sewing projects for our home and for the babe on the way. maybe one day i'll attempt to make this cute shirt, if i'm daring enough to try :)
