i photographed and designed the invites for Clad & Cloth's first ever event! i'll definitely be there so if you're in utah, i'd love to meet you!

his personality is shining more and more each day! he definitely has his preferences and is now sporting two little bottom teeth! i think i was in denial about him teething... i figured it would be too soon for that! but sure enough, those pearly whites made their way through and are now showing. (yikes!) we introduced solid food earlier this month and he loves it. we haven't been consistent with feeding him solids since i want to wait a little longer for that.

here's some more things we've learned about colsen this month:

+ smiles all the time! but when it comes to full out laughing, it rarely happens. he's hard to get to laugh!
+ scratches everything now -- i don't know if it's just a new habit or if he has an itch, but he loves it. he'll scratch his head, arm, belly, my arm, kevin's face, the playmat.. pretty much whatever haha
+ can almost roll all the way over
+ enjoys tummy time now and reaches for his toys far away. since he can't crawl it looks like he's swimming when he tries to grab them
+ loves sitting up with our help, but hasn't quite mastered the whole "using your hands to support you" trick - he's too worried about grabbing his toys then he topples over

my goodness, it's been a busy past few weeks! i really need to catch up on blogging... anyways, here's a recent shoot i did! i loved photographing these stunning models in the new Clad & Cloth winter arrivals! you seriously need to check out their clothes... perfect for this winter weather. i've bought several of their clothes already and i'm obsessed (i may or may not have worn the maroon tee a few days in a row...)

colsen has realized that he can now reach his little feet all the way to his mouth! it's his new favorite thing to suck on his toes... when i first told kevin that he could suck on his toes, he said "ew gross!" well, it's really not that gross when baby feet don't really touch much other than clean socks and blankets :)

on halloween, colsen tried solid food for the first time! now that he's over 4 months and it's "okay", i figured we'd try it out. it's also helped with his acid reflux having something other than liquid in his stomach, and hey, he loves it! so far we've tried that bland baby cereal (he's not super fond of it, which i don't blame him!), some applesauce, banana and sweet potato!

now i'm looking for some yummy homemade baby food recipes if anyone wants to share!

here's some noteworthy things we learned about colsen this month:

+ in size 3 diapers -- we had way too many blowouts in the size 2
+ talks all the time! he coos, squeals, and screams!
+ stands up with help -- he has some strong legs for a little guy
+ his thighs are chunking up and get stuck when he sits in the bumbo seat
+ rolls from side to side and we're working on him getting to roll over
+ still obsessed with his hands and sucks on them all the time
+ likes to grab his toys and put them in his mouth - everything goes in the mouth these days...
+ loves it when we sing to him - favorites are 'itsy bitsy spider' and 'twinkle, twinkle little star'
+ grabs his toes, but only when they don't have socks on them
+ most likely he has an allergy to milk proteins doesn't come from my side of the fam! ;) so i'm off dairy while breastfeeding - the hardest part for me is no cheese :( but i'm hoping not eating dairy will help me shed some more of the baby weight, so it could be in my favor ;)

although he's too young to understand the holidays, it sure makes the fall season more exciting having a child to celebrate with! we're going to a halloween party tonight and i'm excited for what we'll be dressing up as a family this year :)

we've been working on getting him to roll over, but he's not a fan of being on his tummy... so for now,  he loves to roll side to side!
