this weekend was productive and fun! friday night we went out with some friends and roasted marshmallows over the fire. feels like forever since i've been to a bonfire - being in rexburg during the fall isn't complete without going to a bonfire or the sand dunes (which should be next on our list!).
saturday and sunday were very relaxing. after church on sunday, we enjoyed spending time together, skyping with family members and of course, bringing in some magic with watching the season premiere of Once Upon A Time! kevin doesn't care for it, but luckily i have my younger sister nearby who came over to enjoy it with me :) anyone else watch OUAT? 

today has been a gloomy, rainy day. 
which reminded me of this photo i took while in Gdańsk, Poland.
i seriously love this image. we were walking down this street, everyone around us had their umbrellas up (something we didn't pack...), and we were headed to the Neptune Bar for lunch. i didn't want to get my camera soaked, so i pulled out my iPhone and snapped this image. 
btw, i promise that all the travel posts will be coming soon (!!!) i'm trying to find the time to go through the million images i took.

i have so much to catch up on from our travels! while visiting monterey, california for our first wedding anniversary, i luckily remembered to take some videos. i'm definitely an amateur when it comes to video and creating a good video... but until i get better, this will have to do! i love watching home videos of my siblings and i when we were little, so i'm trying to remember to take more videos of us and our travels.

i don't know what it is, but when the crisp fall weather begins to creep in, i get this itch to bake! i'm not the best baker or cook ever, but i do try to improve on those skills from time to time.

i've been wanting to make this bread for quite some time now. i just bought the cinnamon chips directly from great harvest for $3 per pound. i've tried the ones sold in the grocery store, but they just don't taste the same, in my opinion.

** i substituted almond milk instead of cow milk, and it didn't taste any different!

yesterday was my last first day of college! i'll be graduating in december, along with kevin (!!!) it's a bittersweet feeling. i've grown to love idaho, the state famous for its potatoes. while we were gone this summer, i noticed that i missed this place a little. it's become a second home for me, so i'll be sad when it's time for us to move on to bigger cities :)

since we arrived it's been crazy getting our apartment together and getting adjusted to being back at school. luckily everything is settling down now and we're getting back into the swing of things. it's so nice having a set schedule again. this morning we woke up to a thunder storm! that's one thing i love about this place, are the thunderstorms; we had THREE thunderstorms today! so while we kevin was  putting things back in the storage unit, i stood there with my iPhone trying to capture some lightning action. this is the only decent shot i got out of the 100+ photos i snapped as fast as i could. it's my first ever lightening shot.

after we packed up our things and moved out of sacramento, we thought we would head down to monterey to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. we only spent a night and day there, but it was definitely worth it! being by the beach and sunshine with lots of beautiful places to see, we had a great time together. especially since kevin was working long hours every week this summer, it was so nice to have him all to myself ;) 

here are some "postcards" from denmark and poland! i thought i'd make these from my instagram feed. we've been incredibly busy touring all around krakow, poland the past couple days. we have over a week left traveling around! 

on our way to denmark, we had a plane change in iceland. i would love to come back here and travel around to see the sights sometime. so all i have of iceland are these images i took on my iPhone outside the plane window! from the looks of it, it's a beautiful place!
