remember that one time we started doing ABC dates when we were dating (?) and remember that one time we didn't get through the whole alphabet(?) well, we decided to start over.

yesterday, kevin surprised me with the first date, letter A. he gave me a little bag full of tokens as a hint! sure enough, we headed to the arcade and enjoyed winning as many tickets as we could. our favorite games were skeeball and deal or no deal. we haven't ever been to an arcade together, so it was a lot of fun! after spending all our tokens we redeemed our awesome (cheapo) prizes and walked next door to a cupcake shop for dessert. one reason why we decided to re start our ABC dates was so that we could get out more and enjoy dating each other by trying out new things. before, we honestly weren't super creative with our ideas and they mostly involved some kind of food to go with the letter because it was easy. so now we are trying to get more creative and try new things.   

we finally are continuing our abc dates! if you read back on dates A-N, you'd notice we skipped O and P! fear not, i just forgot to write specifically on them. O is when kevin and i drove to Oklahoma at the end of winter semester so i could meet his family! it was a long drive but we had so much fun together. P is what we consider the Proposal date! timing couldn't have been better for those two.

thinking of date ideas was hard for Q. i could not think of anything for the life of me! as i got in the car yesterday, the most brilliant idea came to me. quesadillas! i do love quesadillas. so that's what we did for our Q date tonight... along with lots of homework and watching the BYU football game.

for some reason, N was a hard one to plan... so instead, we decided to do Nothing that has to do with N! clever huh? we grabbed ourselves a jamba juice and headed to the sand dunes where we took some photos for fun and watched the sunset on our way home.

 Saturday we had our M date. We went to this Mandarin restaurant and got it to-go to eat at the park. It was such a gorgeous day outside! All the people who have been hibernating this winter came out of their houses like the munchkins in munchkin land.
the picnic idea didn't last too long.. we sat down and started eating, but the wind ruined it I got tired of eating my hair rather than my chow mein.

AAAND of course, we went to the movies to see THE HUNGER GAMES! okay, [gasp!] I haven't read the books, but after seeing this movie, I definitely will start! I was in suspense mode the whole time and I was impressed with everything about the movie. Loved it!

it was friday night, a rainy dreary day, and just one of those times where you feel like being lazy. what good timing for an L date! we were first going to get take out at a yummy place Costa Vida, but the line was super long. so being lazy we ordered Dominoes Pizza...


and rented a few movies at Redbox... (thank goodness for redbox and coupon codes to get free movies!)

sometimes you just need a lazy date to relax, talk and embrace feeling fat after eating lots of pizza and breadsticks.

happy st. patricks day! i loved this day as a kid to pinch those who aren't wearing green. i would be pinched a million since i don't even own anything green! shame on me...

saturday night we had our K date! this time it was kevin's turn to plan (we switch off every letter). the night started with driving to R mountain and watching the sunset. unfortunately it was a little cloudy so we didn't get to see the full effects, but seriously, rexburg has the prettiest sunsets. spring semester was the best ever.


since the "kabobs for dinner idea" didn't work out, we stopped at the grocery store to grab a few ingredients to make homemade macaroni and cheese. we called his mom to get her amazing recipe and went to my apt for our Kitchen date :)

neither of us had made homemade mac before, but it turned out sooo good. (i totally forgot to take a photo!) but this one from pinterest looks like ours, but not as fancy...

my boyfriend and i decided to copy my parent's idea of doing abc dates. it's a great way to mix up going on dates and planning fun ideas to go along with a certain letter. kev and i decided to switch off planning each date going through the alphabet. so to catch you up on the dates and letters we've done so far..

A: Applebees dinner date! we actually hadn't started the abc dates when we went, but a few days later when i suggested we do it, we thought, well we already did A! so we went on from there.

B: banana milkshakes and back rubs. it was a long week of school work, so we decided to have a chill date. the banana milkshakes ended up being his protein banana shake... it was still good!

C: Cheesecake Factory. he came up to Seattle with me for thanksgiving break so i planned this seattle date night with my sister who we doubled with. we went to the cheesecake factory that night then to a laser show at the pacific science center and walked around downtown taking pictures around the space needle. 


D: D is for dessert! of course. so we went on a double with friends to the Cocoa Bean Cupcake place where they have delicious cupcakes! i hadn't been there before and it was a wise choice to try it.

E: "extreme" date. the boys (tom and kev) planned this one, and it was extreme i tell ya! we went to the local gymnasium place (not sure what it's called..) where they had rock climbing! they also had those huge sumo wrestling outfits to fight in and that was hilarious. i couldn't stop laughing watching as the boys dueled each other and occasionally couldn't get up..

F: Fancy dinner complete with a Fort. We did a double date with friends and got dressed all Fancy for dinner at the Olive Garden. Afterward we came back to my apartment and built an awesome fort in the living room where we watched a movie. You're never too old to create and have fun in a fort!

G:  Go on a cruise. We went on a 3 day weekend cruise to Ensenada, Mexico. He got free tickets through the company he works for. woo hoo!We had a lot of fun with his company and we made new friends! We also went ATVing around Ensenada, shopped, and rode around the dunes by the beach.



H: Hamburgers at Red Robin, yummm.

I: Ice cream at the delicious Gee's Dairy here in Rexburg and a movie night.

J: Jamba Juice date! Kev and I are sick with a cold, so we made some lunch together then hit up Jamba Juice to grab ourselves a Cold Buster smoothie. We also drew portraits of each other with the bucket of markers on the table. We couldn't show the other til the end, just for the fun of it. 




Why do I have black hair in my portrait? I don't know... he was going for a B+W look apparently. silly kev. I couldn't stop laughing about how my "portrait" is awkwardly looking at his smoothie in the photo. cracks me up!
