my family visited san francisco when i was really little, so i don't remember much of the big city. so my sister and i decided the other day to take a little trip over to the bay area. we didn't plan ahead, just decided on places to go on a whim! we had a great time! we began our day at twin peaks to see the beautiful view of the city skyline. we then headed down to the fisherman's wharf where we ate at Boudin for lunch. they are famous for their delicious sourdough bread (+ they even make cute sourdough bread animals too!) i ate the sourdough bread bowl with tomato soup and steph had the sourdough pizza. both were delicious and warmed us up because it was a little chilly out. we walked around the pier and looked in the stores then decided to head over to Alamo park to see the painted ladies. we kept singing the "full house" theme song in our heads. (ohh thank you 90's)

we had such a great time sight seeing, eating out at yummy restaurants, and shopping. i've never been to the famous Coronado Hotel- it was gorgeous! Any place with sunshine and the beach automatically is a check on my list of awesome places.
my mom was able to spend lots of time with her friends (in the jumping picture) and they are always a crack up and fun to be around.

i wish i could be back in california soaking up the sunshine again! maybe kevin and i will live there someday... hmm...

on friday, i went on a field trip (haven't been on a field trip with a class since.. middle school?) with my digital imaging class to Bannack Ghost Town, Montana. it was such an amazing place for shooting portraits. i fell in love with indoor lighting and making use of it to capture beautiful portraits. i am normally a natural light photographer for Weddings and Portraits, but i am excited to learn more about indoor/studio lighting as well!  here's a few of my favorite portraits (indoor + outdoor lighting) from the trip.

my dream is to travel all around the world. there's nothing better than exploring, experiencing and taking photos of your adventures along the way. i want to use my passion {photography} to travel the globe and capture the world in images to create stories. i feel so blessed to have traveled outside of the united states a few times already which sparked my love for traveling. it's contagious!
