Why I became an artist for Maskcara Beauty

I was on a journey last year for finding a good makeup routine and products that i loved and felt beautiful with! i went from deciding to not wear make up at all, or at least very minimal amounts and i did the false lashes... but i just never totally felt like myself and my confidence wasn't the best. i wasn't excited about getting ready for the day and i didn't feel very beautiful (which i'll tell you, that's NOT a good way to start every day!)
Come the summer time, i started seeing more and more people i knew become artists for Maskcara Beauty and they all radiated! i was drawn to the simplicity of the makeup, how customizable and compact it was and that someone would actually find the time to come and color match me (i was SO tired of wasting money on makeup and trying different brands).

once i saw how i looked after my makeup was done, i felt beautiful and loved it! the makeup looked natural and i had never contoured before, but i could instantly see the difference it made in adding more dimension to my face.
i knew that Maskcara had an artist program and i couldn't stop thinking about it. it took a couple weeks before i took the plunge and became an artist. i felt really overwhelmed once signing up because i felt SUPER under qualified for doing makeup on people (i knew really nothing about makeup haha!). But what i DID KNOW, is that i wanted to get out of my comfort zone and really push myself to do something new and exciting that i loved! i love helping other women see their own beauty and that makeup doesn't have to be something daunting - it can be quick, simple and easy!!

i went in to it with the intention of being able to share products that had changed my life and that i LOVED to then make a small income to use for decorating my house, traveling, etc. (because who doesn't want a little extra income these days?!) ;)

it then turned in to not only sharing and getting something in return, but i got to know other artists and becoming part of a sisterhood in the company, learn more about makeup, and just be able to connect/reconnect with so many beautiful and different women of all ages. how rewarding is that?! i've then started building a team under me which has been such a huge blessing! learning to be a leader is such an important skill (and i have a lot to learn for sure!) but it's really helped me step into a role that i typically shy away from.

i've really been pushing myself out of my comfort zone with being an artist. something i thought i could never do - showing my makeup-less face - i've done!! and you know what? it felt great and scary and super vulnerable but who cares? i've learned to not care what others think and show my true self. it's been such an amazing opportunity.

being a stay at home mom, i knew i needed SOMETHING for myself to keep me going. parenting two little boys has its tough days that leave me feeling drained. since becoming an artist, it's given me that sparkle of excitement and it's been amazing! i've seen my confidence grow which trickles into other areas of my life... and that's all my WHY.
