this little boy has wonderful timing! just hours after his due date, my water broke and we were headed to the hospital (but i'll save his birth story for another post).

weighing 8lbs 4oz & 19in long

we couldn't be happier and feel more blessed to have this little bundle of joy in our lives! he's such a good baby. we just brought him home yesterday and we're so happy to be a family of three now!

today is the day i have been looking forward to the past 9 months and i cannot believe it's finally here! so now... we just wait to meet him this week which is so exciting! i'm trying to be as patient as i can so let's hope i don't go insane this week :)

How far along are you? 40 weeks 
Due Date? TODAY!
Total weight gain: 40 lbs   
Countdown? now that my due date is here and will be gone... who knows when this little one will decide to come!
Maternity Clothes? SO ready to be out of them...   
Stretch Marks? yes
Sleep: (insert thumbs down icon) it's been horrible the last week. 
Movement?  yes
Food Cravings: nothing particular lately
Symptoms? ITCHY SKIN! heartburn, definitely swollen feet and hands
Belly Button in or Out? flat  
Labor signs? my last doctor appointment i was still dilated about the same (1.5cm). my next appointment is tuesday so i guess we'll see how things are then if i don't have the baby before that!
Wedding ring on or off? it's been off the past couple weeks now
Happy or Moody? getting impatient and just tired of being pregnant :/  
Looking Forward to: meeting our son!  

this weekend we went to a cardinals game! i'm not a huge baseball fan, but there's something about the atmosphere of going to a baseball game in the summertime, listening to the crowd cheer when there's a home run, and eating nachos. (i instantly regretted eating those...) afterward we got some delicious frozen custard at the famous ted drewes.

on sunday, i surprised kevin with a little wrapped gift for fathers day that i made sure he opened before church so he could wear it; it was a new tie ;) we enjoyed our long sunday nap, talking to our fathers and playing games with some friends.

i'd say it was a pretty good weekend.

since we are living in an apartment for the summer here in St. Louis, we only packed the essentials and left the rest of our things back at home in utah. we got a furnished apartment so that was really nice to come to. i thought i would have time to decorate the nursery at our home before coming out here, but sadly i never got around to finishing it (it'll be a project to keep me busy when we return!). so i knew i wanted to find some small ways to cheaply decorate a "nursery" for our boy here. i set up the co-sleeper crib next to our bed and hung some pictures on the wall. on our dresser, i put the changing pad and a basket filled with diapers and wipes. the nesting vibes are kicking in full gear waiting for this baby to arrive!
