my sister came into town the beginning of this month and we loved having her here! she gave colsen plenty of aunty cuddles and kisses :) while she was here, we visited the st. louis botanical garden. it was gorgeous and we barely even saw half of it! we (unfortunately) picked the worst time to go and the hottest day too so we didn't last long walking around in the heat right in the middle of the day... poor colsen was sweating so much! i didn't want him to get sunburned or dehydrated, so we left only seeing about half of the gardens.

we were sad to say goodbye to aunty steph, but luckily we'll be moving back home to utah next week and colsen will get double the kisses and cuddles from both of my sisters ;)

this weekend we went to a cardinals game! i'm not a huge baseball fan, but there's something about the atmosphere of going to a baseball game in the summertime, listening to the crowd cheer when there's a home run, and eating nachos. (i instantly regretted eating those...) afterward we got some delicious frozen custard at the famous ted drewes.

on sunday, i surprised kevin with a little wrapped gift for fathers day that i made sure he opened before church so he could wear it; it was a new tie ;) we enjoyed our long sunday nap, talking to our fathers and playing games with some friends.

i'd say it was a pretty good weekend.

attending an express birth class together at the hospital,
walking around a park where they had a lewis and clarke encampment reenactment going on (very entertaining!),
enjoying the beautiful spring air at the park,
skyping with family,
+ cuddling and talking about our soon future with a little boy added to our family.

it was a cold, rainy day yesterday so us ladies decided to visit the art museum! i was thinking of what we could do that was inside and the museum came to mind. it helps that it's also free to go in so that saved us on money :) we spent a couple hours walking all around the museum and admiring everything in it. we didn't even get to see all of it, so we'll have to return a few more times before the summer is up. this building is wayyy bigger than you might think - it's like a maze in there!
afterward, we enjoyed getting some warm soup at panera for dinner. it was a perfect way to warm us up! fun fact: i had no clue that panera bread started in st louis! i was confused when i saw it named St. Louis Bread Co. and not Panera bread.
