while in Kraków, we spent a day taking a tour of the Wawel Castle (pronounced like Vavel). it was a beautiful castle built in the 1300's. the architecture was stunning and the courtyard was huge! there is a statue of a dragon just outside of the castle and it blows out fire once in a while. we stopped by just in time to see it! while my mom and i were taking a tour of the rooms inside, my dad and kevin walked down to the "dragon's cave" beneath the castle walls.

after the tour of the castle, we walked across the river to take a ride in this huge balloon to get a good view of the city. i was a little freaked out being a hundred feet in the air, but i got some great photos! ;)
