three months with colsen
colsen has now graduated from the newborn stage to infant! he's such a joy to have around. we traveled up to seattle a week ago to visit my parents while kevin was in hawaii (he won the trip through work lucky duck!). it was the second time i flew alone with colsen and luckily he was a great travel companion. a couple times we got lucky and had the row to ourselves. other times we didn't get so lucky and the flight was completely full (thumbs down). i didn't realize how narrow those airplane seats are until i tried to nurse him and he kept kicking the nice lady next to us... she was understanding and helpful at least! (a soon to be grandmother).
here's some noteworthy things we learned about colsen this month:
+ 13 lbs! and getting chunkier by the day ;)
+ loves sucking on his hands - preferably his fist
+ longest stretch of sleeping through the night was 9 1/2 hrs! (hoping that will happen again...)
+ smiles all the time - especially when you make direct eye contact with him
+ can sit up in the bumbo seat
+ loves blowing saliva bubbles
