poland : Łódź
the next city we visited after zakopane was Łódź. we spent the night at this amazing hotel that was made in an old textile mill building. this was the nicest hotel i've ever stayed at! when kevin was living in poland, he made a goal to one day bring his wife here. (check!)
^^ kevin taught this sweet lady while on his mission there so it was wonderful getting to meet her and spend some time that day going around town with her. they spoke polish together but she made sure to use the little english she knows to communicate with me too.
^^ we stopped at a palace in the city where they had a museum
^^ my mom really wanted to go to the Jewish Cemetery but it was closed when we got there
^^ at a park they have a monument for all the children killed at the concentration camps during WWII
^^ this stone wall represents all the cities where concentration camps were
^^ to end the day in Łódź, we made sure to stop at our favorite restaurant in poland, Manekin. they have the best savory crepes!
